Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ on This Topic

What is an FIBC liner and why is it necessary?

An FIBC liner is a plastic film sleeve inserted into the big bag. It protects the product from moisture, oxygen, and contamination. It is especially mandatory for food, pharmaceuticals, and moisture-sensitive chemicals.

What is the difference between LDPE and HDPE liners?

LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is more flexible and transparent, providing basic moisture barrier. HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is more rigid and resistant to chemicals. HDPE offers better moisture barrier but is less flexible.

When should an EVOH liner be preferred?

EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol) liners are preferred when superior oxygen and aroma barrier is required. Ideal for coffee, spices, food additives, and sensitive pharmaceutical raw materials. Usually used in multi-layer structures with PA or PE.

What is aluminium liner used for?

Aluminium foil laminate liners provide maximum barrier performance. They offer complete protection against moisture, oxygen, light, and UV rays. Preferred for milk powder, food additives, and moisture-sensitive pharmaceutical raw materials.

How is liner thickness determined?

Liner thickness is determined based on product weight, storage duration, and barrier requirements. Standard liner is 80-100 microns, 120-150 microns for heavy loads, and 200+ microns for long-term storage.
